Human beings learn through constant interaction with other people and with the different stimuli that surround us (sounds, colors, textures…).
Hence, in recent years, the practice of sending babies to early stimulation classes has become popular, where learning and the development of cognitive, physical, emotional and social faculties are promoted.
This is because, at that age, there is greater brain plasticity. In other words, the brain can create new synapses and neuronal circuits with the right stimulation.
Thinking, precisely, in support of parents who are concerned about those first years of life of their little ones, in BMS we have designed an early stimulation program (ET) that includes a complete set of activities and techniques aimed at children from 0 to 6 years old.
What is early stimulation?
Early stimulation is a process that uses a playful methodology, where learning is acquired especially through play.
In this way, children enjoy and have fun while integrating new concepts, making the most of their physical and mental capacities.
Benefits of early stimulation for babies and children
- Increases creativity and curiosity through observation and interaction with the environment.
- Promotes psychomotor skills (movement, coordination, balance).
- Improves concentration and memory capacity.
- It allows them to interpret contexts and other people’s reactions.
- It strengthens their social and relational skills such as empathy, self-esteem and the ability to make their own decisions.
There are even certain early stimulation dynamics, such as articulation, comprehension and oral expression exercises, which facilitate language acquisition by continuously incorporating new words.
Is early stimulation a therapy?
Not really. Nor is it an educational model focused on the kids.
Rather, early stimulation is a set of repetitive exercises that help to enhance and develop brain functions.
Hence, both healthy kids and those with some kind of disorder or condition that impacts their development can equally receive the benefits of early stimulation.
Is early stimulation the same as sending the kids to daycare?
No. At BMS, early stimulation begins at 6 months of age and is a program that works with a teacher during the morning, but it is not the same as daycare.
Daycare is provided at the end of this program, from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm, and does not have a structure with specific objectives.
Contact us if you would like your son or daughter to develop the advantages of early stimulation and living in a safe space with other kids.
